She is 23,5 meters in length and is licensed for 145 passengers and 8 crew, but do not let the fact that she is South Africa’s largest day passenger boat fool you. We can offer groups of 12 and more in comfort and luxury surroundings.

The saloon area has comfortable couches with side tables and a buffet area .We have 2 large stainless steel Gas BBQ’s on the back deck as well as hot and cold showers on two swimming platforms on the stern deck so you can rinse of after a dip at Clifton 4th Beach. Launched in December 1998, she was already ahead of her time, and she still has a state of the art Tandem Foil-Assisted System. This means that when she moves at speed she becomes even more stable as the weight of the boat is spread over 2 underwater foils.
She has up to two Rib’s as Vessel tenders to take you and your guests on High speed or slow rides to see up close the abundant marine and bird life, and maybe the odd seal colony, whilst the rest of your guests enjoy a BBQ at anchor at Clifton. Can you resist? Book Now for this Summer!

Dawn

DAWN is a 10m Catamaran Harbour ferry that offers unique insight into the historic Old Harbour Area of the V&A Waterfront, as well as cruises into the International Harbour area.
The ‘New” Dawn has recently undergone a complete refit and is quite different to the old “Dawn” of yesterday. The 44 passenger seats now all face forward and the new clear Perspex roof is supported by a sturdy stainless steel frame. With the clear roof we can get really close up and under the bows and sterns of the Vessels in the Old Harbour, as well as within a safe distance of the Cape Fur Seals sitting on the fenders scattered around the Harbour.
The Skipper and crew now sit at the stern of the DAWN allowing all passengers uninterrupted views over the bow. 360o Views are ensured for all passengers.
In September 2008, DAWN had GPS Based commentary installed. This first on a vessel in the V&A Waterfront and will ensure that the highest standard on commentary is achievable for tour groups, and of course we also carry a SAMSA Qualified Skipper and Crew to assist with the guided tours and add local charm.
DAWN can be booked for the Daily Scheduled cruises that operate every day of the year. The half hour cruise is a leisurely trip around the Victoria Basin and also into the Alfred basin area if the tide allows us access under the Bridge. The One hour trip covers the same area as the half hour and also continues in to the International Area of the Harbour, the Duncan Dock and the Ben Schoeman container terminal...
Private Charters are extremely popular with Children’s parties. Speak to a consultant in the office who can help you with a theme. We can also pick up your group up at the Royal Cape Yacht Club, or drop you off near the Two Oceans Aquarium.
The Bobcat 10m Ferry was developed for pleasure trips both inland and offshore. This fibreglass catamaran provides optimal stability and low hull resistance. Six watertight compartments add to the safety factor that no mono-hull can equal. However as Dawn is currently only licensed to carry passengers inside the Harbour area, we cannot offer trips to sea. DAWN was for years known as the boat with a “Gold Seal” on her roof .During her refit the model seal was removed and was unfortunately stolen We have no toilet facilities onboard, so please use the facilities at the embarkation point. Bar facilities are available on request .We can also arrange picnic hampers.

Jet Boat

We have two Ballistic 7.8m RIBS (Rigid Inflatable Boats) named Jet Boat 1 and Jet Boat 2.
These boats are renowned for their speed, safety and efficiency on the water. Each Boat is powered by twin Yamaha 200hp offering sophistication and speed in challenging conditions. The Jet Boat’s are sure to provide you with hours of fun and exhilaration.
We have SAMSA and RYA trained skippers and crew to let you Experience the many wonders of our bay...LOOK OUT FOR whales, seals, sharks, dolphins & pelagic birds on any of our exciting trips.
We can seat up to 12 passengers on jockey style seats. Lifejacket are compulsory and should be worn at all times.
We also offer yellow rain suites to keep you dry on windy days. We operate from Cape Town, Hout Bay and Simons Town throughout the year. Typical trips on offer are Charter Sea Princess to Clifton and drops anchors in the beautiful bay. Guests are then taken on short rides in the Jet Boat. Typically we can take 10 at a time.
Spirit of Victoria and Esperance do a “Pirate Attack” where we “attack” the Boats with a Jet Boat and the crew all dress up like pirates. After the attack we then take the guests on rides. We transfer the passengers at sea.
We also offer a Power Sail that includes a Jet Boat Ride and a Sail, followed by an optional Helicopter flip with one of the Waterfront Helicopter Operators.
Why “Jet Boat” when we have outboards? Our original Jet Boat did indeed have a Hamilton Water Jet coupled to a large turbocharged 455hp diesel. She became unavailable for charter in November 2007 and we needed a suitable vessel for our summer seasons bookings so an off the shelf production boat seemed the only solution. The Ballistic 7.8 is in use by the SA Water police and various charter operators on cape town, Dubai and the UK. This model has been tried and tested and used by experienced powerboat racers and took home three of the top 5 places in the 2003/2004 Trans Agulhas 1000km event. The choice was easy, and we have not looked back, so the Boat was changed but the name and reputation remained the same.
