Full Day Kruger National Park Open Vehicle Game Drive | African safari | overland tours

This is a great opportunity to do game drives inside Kruger national park in a open sided game viewing vehicle, instead of in a small rental car which is much lower to the open vehicle. You will have much better photo opportunities. Also keep in mind that our guides are in Kruger park almost every day, which means that they know the area very well, and know where to look for animals. The guides also have much more experience in spotting the animals, and there will be other people on the vehicle which means that there are more eyes looking for animals.

We have a vehicle leaving from Timbavati Safari Lodge half an hour before the gates open in the morning, arriving at Orpen gate as the gates open. This means that you can join the day game drive either at Timbavati Safari Lodge or at Orpen gate. Transfers can be arranged from lodges in the Hoedspruit area, at additional cost.

Kruger national park is home to 147 mammal species including the Big Five, as well as 502 bird species and 114 reptile species. Our aim is to find as many animal species as possible, and therefore we do game drives for the majority of the day. You will stop at picnic sites inside the park for breakfast and lunch that will be prepared by your guide. Other stops will be made at shops for cold drinks and toilets.

You have the opportunity to book an optional sunset / night drive at R280 per person. You will have to inform our guide when at Orpen gate in the morning, so he / she can make the required arrangements. The night drives end back at Orpen gate.
